MAC Lipsticks

So over the last two months I have made two cheeky visits to a MAC store, which is rare for me to do as the closest one is an hour away:( So I have been wanting to purchase a MAC lipstick for awhile now, so when I paid a visit to the MAC store I picked one up straight away. Then a month later I had to go back and buy another as I adore them.

Left-Creme Cup, Right- Fabby

So the first one I bought was Fabby which is a frost MAC lipstick and the second one is Creme Cup which is a cremesheen.
MAC Fabby is a light soft subtle pink with lavender/mauve and a gold shimmer, however it doesn't look shimmery when applied. This is opaque on my lips and it's a subtle colour that it would be suitable to wear on any occasion. I would definitely buy this colour again!
MAC Creme Cup is a nude pink which has blue undertones. It again is opaque on the lips and is suitable for everyday wear. This lipstick has great pigmentation and lasts long on the lips I find. I would definitely definitely buy this again.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions on MAC lipsticks and what ones you recommend in the comments below. But for now...

Zuri Chapter Eight

Before now, I had never heard of Zuri Skincare and sadly all I can tell you about this skin care range is that it is by sleek makeup. However, now I know this I hope I find it as good as their makeup and not a let down.

Just a bit of information that I have found through browsing the web. Zuri skincare names each of their products as chapters which I think is so cute! There is at least nine different chapters which can be bought from fragrance direct. The retail price for these products range from £14.99 to £5.99, however a lot cheaper from fragrance direct. In their skincare range I know it includes the following: a Face mask, Balancing toner, Night serum, Body buffer, Muslim cloth,Skin tone corrector, Blemish pen and Skin cleanser. There may be more but don't hold me to that. Last thing about the brand that I want to say is that I find the packaging very professional looking, let me know if you agree?

So back to Zuri Chapter Eight.. This is a brightening skin renew face mask. (complexion corrector brightener).

This product says: 'A multi-purpose product that purifies and mattifies the skin by absorbing sebum as well as skin's impurities. The Alga light, an algae extract, is a skin brightening agent delivered from red algae. It controls UV induced darkening by supresssing factors that allow the process to occur. The mask also possessess microbial properties, and is also highly moisturising.'

Well I cannot give my opinion about how the product works yet so I can neither say if I agree or disagree yet. As I feel using the product once doesn't give a far judgement. However, when I did use this product I did find it mattifying and I didn't find that it irritated my skin.

So last few things. I may do a follow up to this post once I have got to use this product so that I can really review this for you guys. Another thing is that I am also contemplating as whether I should buy any other products from this brand, so let know your thoughts in the comments below. But for now...

Essie Bikini So Teeny

As you saw/read in a previous blog post I picked up Essie Bikini So Teeny from Fragrance Direct for £1.99 and I thought I'd show you a cheeky picture of this colour on my nails.

I have been seeing on YouTube and reading people's blog posts about them buying this. Originally I wasn't going to purchase this, I was thinking erm that's not really my kind of colour but then I looked at my nail varnish collection and thought wait I can't really think that so I bought it. This colour is a powdery blue.. sky blue maybe and I'm not going to lie when I first applied it I thought nah this will not last on my nails long I don't really like the colour. However, my thoughts changed on day two of wearing this polish. For some reason I have no began to grow to love this shade I think it's because I haven't ever really had a blue shade between dark blue and baby blue. So would I recommend this? Yes would be my answer.

Leave your opinions below I would love to hear them, but for now

Essie Go Ginza

So in my previous blog I mentioned some purchases from Fragrance Direct and that I would do an individual blog post on the nail varnishes I bought. So the first as you can guess by the title is Go Ginza by Essie which I picked up for £1.99.

I am absolutely adoring this nail varnish colour right now, it in my opinion is gorgeous and it's turned into my current favey! As you can tell this colour is a vary pale lilac/baby pink colour. Its stunning! I would definitely recommend this shade. yes yes yes from me!

The main reason for these mini blog posts that will be happening is basically so I can give you guys an idea of what the colour looks like on the nails in case you are umming and arrring over whether to buy this. Let me know your opinions in the comments below or any shade that you think I should purchase from Essie.

FRAGRANCE DIRECT HAUL

So as you guys know from my previous blog post I have been loving fragrance direct's website. I have made two purchases within two weeks, and I will need to stop myself in the future as this is feeding my nail varnish addiction. So from this I bet that you can guess what I bought... yes nail varnish... et oh!

So firstly, for all of you that don't know what fragrance direct's website is here's a summary: Its a website that sells skincare products, cosmetics/makeup, perfume, hair care products, tanning products and bath and body products at great prices! - thumbs up for that poor summary.

So I said that I made two purchases, the first purchase I made from this website I only purchased one thing for myself and that is an Essie nail varnish in go ginza, the other things I purchased was to put in a friends birthday hamper so they sadly do not feature in this post as I forgot to take a picture before I made hamper.

So why do I love fragrance direct so much ey? I love the fact I can pick up an Essie nail varnish for £1.99 because I'm a cheap skate. ( Is that the right saying?) Anyhow... On my second purchase I bought three other Essie nail varnishes in bikinni so teeny, maximillion strasse her and navigate her which I will individual posts on in the future.  As well as the Essie nail varnishes I also bought Zuri Chapter Eight Brightening skin renew face mask which I may do a blog post on in the future I am not to sure.

Anyhow fortunately/unfortunately, that is all I bought recently. I'm sure I will be purchasing again in the future so I will keep you informed if I do. Let me know in the comments below if you have used this website and what you have bought, I'd love to hear peoples opinions.
Until next time, love & peace, han x

SINFUL?

Well about a month a go, I had a sinful visit to boots...
A sinful visit to boots means that I had a trip to Boots where I made a purchase of some nail varnish that I didn't really need but that I bought anyway as I just couldn't resist (I'm an addict) and due to the fact I needed cheering up. So whilst on this visit to Boots I noticed the brand Sinful colors and they caught me eye due to the price £1.99 so I picked up 8.

So the first one I picked up was Verbena-954 which is the purple nail varnish in the picture above, sadly I dont know any other way to describe this colour other than purple. It's darker than a lilac colour but not a dark purple. The second one I picked up was Island Coral, this is a pinky/orange shade (basically coral then) which is a great colour for summer. The next one I got is Pink forever, I love this shade of pink its not to bright or hot pink its gorgeous. I mainly purchased this shade due to the fact my Barry M pink that I bought went missing:(, so I will have to repurchase that. The last one featuring in the picture above that I got was Unicorn and it is a pastel yellow great for the summer and spring.

So from this picture the first one displayed on your left is Mint Apple and I adore this nail. This nail varnish is a mint green colour with a hint of shimmer in it, gorgeous colour for spring I would say. The next colour is my favourite as I adore the colour green and it is Pistache which is a pistachio green and I love it love it love it! The next one I got is Why not which is a dark blue (picture shows colour well), I don't really wear dark blue like this so I picked it up thinking I'd give it a try. And last but not least is my second fav and that is Cinderella, I love the name of this nail varnish its so cute. This colour is a pale baby blue with a hint of shimmer in it and I think its a perfect spring colour.

Let me know in the comments below whether you have used this brand of nail varnish? or what your favourite colour from the ones I've purchased. I would love to hear your opinions. Also, if you want me to do swatches of these colours in a different blog post, let me know in the comments. I would happily do this it gives me a post to do. Hope you are well, speak soon!
Until next time, love & peace, han x

Hello headliner post number twenty three! This is a beautiful blue shade that I don't know how to describe - sad face :(I would personally wear this shade any time of year as I think it suits all seasons and it only needed one coat as seen on the picture. ps please excuse my badly painted nail throughout all posts.

CIATE SUNDANCE: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. I'm getting close to the end and here is nail varnish number twenty two!

Number twenty two is another caviar pearls from ciate and this is called sundance!
Sundance has both yellow and blue coloured balls/pearls/beads and I would definitely wear these pearls in either summer or spring as they are bright!
-I prefer not to wear caviar pearls although I think they are really cute and pretty, I don't like the feel when you are wearing them and I don't think they last long enough on the nails. However, they are good for decorating things with e.g. cards.

Comment on the door today was nothing inspirational or relevant to post:(

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. Welcome to my 20th post!

hellomagic carpet! This is a cute pink glitter coat, which would be perfect to use as a top coat, in my opinion! However I'm sure you would be able to apply a few layers to create a full pink glitter look. Cute for when you wanna feel girly or to add a bit more to a simple nail varnish look.

This nail varnish also has a cute name which is cookies and cream! I would definitely recommend this nail varnish to everyone! I love it. PS:I would recommend two coats on the nail unlike on my picture.

Comment on the door: Nail care tip: Use cuticle oil every other day! PS: I've gone on holiday but there should be daily posts until this ends, fingers crossed

I've made it to 18 posts daily! hooray!

Number 18 in the series of ciate mini's is another caviar pearls, named candy shop!Candy shop beads are pink, orange and blue tiny beads/balls. These are definitely cute for summer/spring seasons.
-I prefer not to wear caviar pearls although I think they are really cute and pretty, I don't like the feel when you are wearing them and I don't think they last long enough on the nails. However, they are good for decorating things with e.g. cards.

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. SEVENTEEN!!! yaay

So hello number seventeen which is known as power dressing:)
Power dressing is a deep navy blue which is a perfect shade for the winter I feel. In the picture on the right I have one coat of the varnish on, but I feel it would need two to look its best! What do you think? What season would you wear this in?

CIATE BIG YELLOW TAXI: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. Welcome to my 16th post on this series!

Well hello, big yellow taxi and sixteenth addition to my ciate blog posts!
Big yellow taxi is a cute pastel yellow nail varnish which is perfect for the spring and summer seasons.
On the picture above I put two coats of the yellow varnish on as the first coat was very thin. I think this is always going to be a shade to have for spring as its like a staple pastel colour.

Comment on the door: Be a Queen for the day! - Love this

CIATE MOJITO: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. Well i'm still continuing with keeping these daily posts and here is post fifth-teen, woop woop!
Get me a mojito!
The name of this bright green shade is Mojito again fabulous naming! This is definitely again one of my favourite shades out of all the 24 nail varnishes included and it is a very daring shade. On the picture above
I'm wearing two coats to achieve a bold look. I would personally wear this in spring, but it's a good colour for summer two or a holiday, what do you guys think?

Comment on the door: A woman is helpless till her nail polish dries - love this!

Next Lip Goodies!

These are the first products that are non-lipstick products in the 'lipstick' series. This is quite a boring post sorry guys!

So I have a lip gloss and a lip balm from Next and I would definitely recommend these products. Both of these products are moisurising as expected. The lip balms are available in different scents and I think that they are only available in store. The lip gloss gives a lovely  nude shiny finish and it is scented however I cant comment on that due to sadly not being able to work out what the scent reminds me of as of yet!

Let me know if you have tried anything from Next in the comments below:)

Post fourteen! Hello speed dial... this is an orange/pinky shade which is perfect for spring/summer and wearing it to the beach! Above is what it looks like with just one coat, sadly the picture doesn't do the colour justice:( Definitely think it's suited for wearing on a lovely beach holiday

Comment on the door: Beauty is self confidence applied directly to your nails!

CIATE GLASS SLIPPER: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. 13th POST woooo!!!
Here is glass slipper, the 13th post, what a pretty name this has, don't ya think? Cinderella related, cute.
This nail varnish is a dark blue glitter nail varnish. This glitter can be used on top of a colour/solid nail varnish, or by it's self like the picture above.I haven't tried seeing how many coats it takes to achieve a solid glitter look, but I'm sure it will be possible.

Comment on the door:Don't be like the rest of them darling

BARRY M LIPSTICK: REVIEW

Top- 53, Bottom- 147
This is the second in the lipstick/lips series, and today is the turn of the Barry M's lipstick that I have which consists of two, yay!So here are my two lip paints which I bought from Barry M from Superdrug for £4.49, however they are also available online or from boots! Unlike the Rimmel lipsticks I posted about the other day, these lack in moisture however they have good pigmentation.

Shade 147
This lip paint from Barry M is very pigmented and translates well onto the lips. This colour is a pink peachy colour which is perfect for spring/summer. However, with this lipstick it can feel quite dry I find when you apply it to your lips.

Shade 53
Firstly, please excuse the slight smudge on the image of me wearing this, which does this lip paint no justice. This is a coral lipstick, which has great staying power again however it is dry when applied to lips.

So just a little bit of extra info: I apologize for my bad photography of these lipstick shades and I do apologize also for future posts, my camera isn't the best. However, shade 147 is a pretty much a true reflection of how the colour reflects in real lift. I have only swatched these briefly and no lip liner or lip primer was used and I didn't apply them with a brush (my bad).
So, I do recommend these lipsticks for pigmentation as these a great for that however, due to being matte they can feel dry.  These can be bought from the website and I've included the link here: BarryM Lip Paint
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next time, love & peace han x

CIATE TWILIGHT: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. Welcome to my 12 post:)
Well, hello number 12... The 12th polish in the calendar is called twilight! Twilight is a black nail varnish which is mixed with a golden glitter top coat. This would be perfect to pair with bumble bee from my previous blog post yesterday! Or to wear at like new year or parties.

Comment on the door: Did you know? Ciate's speed coat dries in just 60 seconds

CIATE BUMBLE BEE: REVIEW & SWATCH

So following my blog post called ciate mini calendar, I explained how I was going to be doing a blog post everyday for 24 days on the nail varnishes in the calendar. So here's post 11!

Meet Bumble bee! Bumble bee is another ciate caviar polish (small balls/beads) that attach to a coat of nail varnish to add a different effect to the nail. Again like my previous caviar polish I was unable to take a picture showing me wearing it. Bumble bee is both black and yellow small beads. What are your thoughts?

-I prefer not to wear caviar pearls although I think they are really cute and pretty, I don't like the feel when you are wearing them and I don't think they last long enough on the nails. However, they are good for decorating things with e.g. cards.

Comment on the door: Always use a base coat!

RIMMEL NAIL VARNISH REVIEWS

Disco Ball, Ruby Crush, Block your Green and Azure

So in one of my previous blog posts called gifts, I told you about how I had received some nail varnishes from my friends as birthday presents... Well here they are featuring in their very own post! So my friends has bought me 4 names from Rimmel from the precious stones and I love lasting finish collection. These include Disco Ball, Ruby Crush, Block your Green and Azure, as shown in the above picture.

 1. BLOCK YOUR GREEN - 700
This colour is a deep green shade, which I dont know how to describe! but I have included a picture of me wearing it with one coat, possibly two - I can't remember:(
So as much as I love the colour when I took this nail varnish off, it seemed to smear a green colour on my nail, I think it may be just how I took it off. This nail varnish retails at £2.99

 2. AZURE
Azure is a metallic/pearly nail varnish, in the colour blue which has under tones of purple and green I would say. This nail varnish also has a hint of silver shimmer/glitter and to achieve the look in the picture I put on two coats.Again this nail varnish retails at £2.99

3. DISCO BALL
Disco ball is a cute glitter top coat which has blue purple and silver glitter all together! I love this as a top coat on purple and blue nail varnishes. On the pictures I have shown it by it's self and also on top of Azure (above)
Again this retails at £2.99 according to the Rimmel website

 4. RUBY CRUSH
Ruby Crush is that last Rimmel nail varnish I have to include in this blog post. Ruby Crush is a full on glitter colour as described on the bottle. This glitter nail varnish is small red glitter with bigger silver bits of glitter which achieves a full solid look with 2/3 coats. However, on the picture I only have one nail with the complete glitter nail varnish, the others it is paired with a Barry M nail varnish. This retails at £3.99

Overall, I would definitely purchase nail varnishes again from Rimmel, however I would pick Models Own or Barry M over them - as I have a long history with these brands. I think these nail varnishes are a good quality , well priced and suitable for all occasions. From doing this blog post I have been browsing on their website and have found a few future purchases:) So thanks Rimmel
What do you guys think about these? Am I the only one who find the colour smudges when taking it off?
Until next time, love & peace, han x

RIMMEL MOISTURE RENEW LIPSTICKS REVIEW

L-R: Oxford ST Fuchsia, Orchid Crush, Sloane's Plum
So here is the first in my lipstick series, that I mentioned yesterday in a blog post!, woop! This series should hopefully last until I'm back from my holiday, so I shall schedule a few posts. Anyway...

Hello Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks!
About a year a go I bought my first Rimmel moisture renew lipstick from a local shop which stocks a few makeup brand products at reduced rate. On a trip to the shop known as the factory shop in the UK, I stumbled across my first purchase in this collection known as Orchid Crush, know a few days a go I thought I would add to this collection and bought Sloane's Plum and Oxford ST fuchsia.
So, these lipsticks can also be found in stores such as Superdrug, Boots or Online from the Rimmel London website, which I'll leave a link here too: Moisture Renew So luckly as I said I bought mine from at a reduced rate from the retail price on site of £6.29 for £1.50 - bargain!

These lipsticks are super super moisturising on the lips and they are also good pigmentation I have found.

So lipstick #1 Shade: Oxford ST Fuchsia
This seems to look like a pale pink in both pictures, however it's darker than that sadly, it isn't showing true, however in the swatch above on my hand is a true representation and it comes across that colour on the lips.
no flash
So Lipstick #2 Shade: Sloane's Plum
This is true to the picture, I wanted a deep purple plum colour as I thought that I would be more daring with what I wear on my lips and for £1.50 I couldn't go wrong! I will be trying to make the most of this whilst I'm on holiday!

no flash

So Lipstick #3 Shade: Orchid Crush
Out of these three lipsticks, this is definitely more sheer whereas the others are more pigmented. I tend to pair this with a Revlon lipstick, which will appear in my series in the future. This lipstick is still moisturing and gives your lips a pink glittery hint.
no flash

So these are my Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipsticks which I rate 4/5, giving them 4/5 on pigmentation and 5/5 on moisture, meeting the aim of these lipsticks. Let me know what you think of these lipsticks and their shades in the comments below, as I would love to hear your views!
Until next time, love & peace, han x
